Organization Week: Uniforms, Team Pictures, Concussion Tests, and Then Games

The first full week for the progranm will be a busy one. Three of the four teams will have their first practice session together (the Varsity got a head start on Sunday) on Monday, and begin the process of learning roles and responsibilities. Team uniforms will be given to the players on Tuesday, and they will come to training on Wednesday wearing their uniforms, and have team and individual photos taken. A number of players on all four teams need to finish their concussion testing on their home laptops/computers. Players have been sent a link to the test via e-mail. PLyers who completed htis testig laast year do not have to do so, but several upperclassmen will need to do this after two years have elapsed. Trainer Cassie Lapple is in charge of the program, and is available to ansswer playher questions. PLayers with injuries are enjoined to visit the traioning room for treatment, preferably after Noon and before the end of school. The Freshman team, coached by Jason Hirschhorn, will have the first opportunity to play a non-program opponent, taking to the turf at 6:30 on Thursday to play the Varsity Girls, last year's undefeated Division 2 Champions. The JV2 team, coached by Ian Caldwell, will have the honor of playing the first interscholastic game, hosting the Newport High School Varsity at Dresden at 4:30 on Friday. The JV1 team, coached by Willie Johnson, will host the Lebanon JV on Saturday at 1:00 at Merriman-Brranch Field, and the Varsity will follow on Saturday at 3:00, renewing a longstanding rivalry against the Raiders.
