Fab Friday Caps the Regular Season

All four Marauder teams will end the season Friday with great opportunities to honor the game on preferred surfaces. All three sun varsity teams will travel to the turf, having bid a fond farewell Thursday to the Pasture with another productive training session bathed in fall sunlight.

The Freshmen are first up at 3:15, playing their third game of the season against the Varsity Girls, who requested the match to help them prep for Tuesday's first-ever Division One playoff game.  The Freshmen will be coached by Ian Caldwell, who knows them well. Once again the visiting team, they will wear white (hoping that the mud stains come out).  Spectators are allowed.

Next, the JV1 and JV2 teams will square off at 4:30 with an epic intramural match. Coaches Bucket and Willie have drafted two even teams.  We will have professional referees. Will the Triangle be broken up?  Will Augie A free kick? Which freshman goalkeeper will step up and be the man of the match?  Please note that the campus will be closing at 6:00.  Cars may leave, but not enter after that time (because of the football game and the rigid no student spectator policy).

The Varsity has been gifted the chance to play archival frenemy Lebanon on their perfect pitch at 4:00 on Friday.  Dismissal at 2:15, and departure at 2:36:30.  White uniforms.  Two spectators per player, which allows for Connor's Uncle Dan Robel to attend. Lebanon will have a player list.  Players returning to the high school should not leave cars in the lot behind the school, which will be closed.  Again, no student spectators at the football game, please.

Repeating the schedule for next week:  Hanover will host Concord on Wednesday, Oct. 27 at 3:00 on the turf in a first-round NHIA D1 Tournament game.  Same spectator rules.  We expect a lot of ball boys. Given the cancellation of the Keene game, this match is now our designated Grassroot Soccer charity game.  Here is the link.  We have already had 28 donations!  Hoping for many small ones:

Please keep reading, and please follow the blog for the next week or two.  The season ends Friday for three teams, but it takes a while to put the season to bed.  We have celebrations to plan and publicize, and next Monday and Tuesday are uniform return days.  We cannot emphasize how important it is for us to have uniforms returned to us in a timely and orderly way.  They must be washed, folded, bagged, and labeled with the player's name.  All practice uniforms and loaners have been recorded and must be returned.  You don't want to be billed for the replacement cost.  There will be return bins at the front desk with Bucket beginning Monday morning.  Thanks for your follow up!
