Senior Day Saturday 1:00 vs. Mascoma

 As the days shorten and autumn beckons, we become more grateful for every session, every playing opportunity in this unique season.  Saturday at Merriman-Branch Field, the Marauders host a feisty Mascoma team at 1:00, a match preceded at 12:30 by Senior Day ceremonies.  Both teams will be involved.  We will name and briefly the nine Mascoma seniors.  The Royals made a deep playoff run in Division 3 last year, and return an experienced team, led by junior scoring ace Ben Seiler, who recently passed the 50-goal mark.  They see this match with the Marauders as a measuring stick, and a chance to harden themselves for their anticipated playoff run.

The Marauders will proudly honor 14 seniors.  There are 11 Varsity players, player/manager Owen Stannard, and JV players Mathew Cabrejo and Jackson Liu.  The Marauder seniors are:

Every one of these players has played a significant role in this year's memorable season. They started last spring, raising money for charity, and worked hard all summer to be ready for the season, when nothing was certain.  They hit the ground running, and have helped create an atmosphere of inclusion for every player in the program, over 90 of them on four competitive, cohesive teams. They are so worthy of Saturday's modest recognition, and have paved the way for a unique senior year.

Hanover High Boys Soccer 2020 is Underway!

As the Hanover High School community prepares for a new and unique school year, we are also preparing for the 2020 soccer season.
